We all need times to be refreshed.  Whether it's the busyness of life or the demands of minsitry, we need to make sure we get away from it all at times and allow the Lord to refresh us.
Sometimes in those places God begins to reveal a sin that needs to be confessed.  Sometimes it's simply the nuge that the Spirit gives saying, "Remember to enjoy THIS moment and not be so caught up in what's next ahead."  Or maybe it's simply the beauty of being in His presence with other believers singing out God's praises.  That's where we truly understand the verse in Psalms 16:11 "In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore."
I found all of those things in this time of refreshment this past weekend in Colorado.  Not only did I get to see my family who lives there, but I was able to attend the yearly Refresh Conference at Calvary Church in Aurora.
Again I implore you, if it's been awhile since you've been refreshed by God's Spirit then there is no better time than now.  You don't need a conference.  You don't need cool weather and good friends.  You just need to get away with Jesus and say, "Lord, here I am.  Refresh me so I can keep running for you in Your energy, not my own."
