This past Thursday through Saturday I was able to go to Colorado to a conference.  During that time I was able to see my parents and older brother and his family.  It was a great time of catching up as well as spending time with the Lord.
From the cool morning walks with the trees changing color in the Fall, to the worship and teaching sessions, to the laughing with family & friends over life.  It was all such a refreshing time!  A time to listen.  A time to worship.  A time to learn.  A time to rest.
Let me ask you a question, "Are you refreshed in your walk with God?"  If not take a "time out" and spend some time with Him.  Pour out your heart like water before the Lord.  Listen to His Word and Spirit speak to your heart.  Spend time in worship and rest in Him.  The danger of just having a "go" schedule is burnout.  And burnout is never a good thing!
Sometimes it takes getting away for a few days away from all the busyness of life.  Other times it's just a morning or a few hours to sit before the Lord.  I'm convinced that we need some measure of being refreshed in His presence every day.
So remember, you were made for communion with Him.  That's your primary purpose.  Everything else is secondary.  I've found that when I put Him first, everythign else falls in place.
