Tomorrow our chairs arrive at church! This is the first tangible aspect of now moving forward in faith in our sanctuary update. These chairs will be in the Fellowship Hall for services from Jan 11 until the project is finished. Once the project is done we will move them into the sanctuary.
Why is it important to have the future sanctuary chairs on hand before the upgrade?
Frist, the folding chairs aren't that comfortable. It's been said that the mind can only endure what the seat can handle. We believe the message of the gospel and teaching of God's Word is super important. We want to take out any distractions that might get in the way of the work of the Spirit in a heart.
Second, we wanted a tangible aspect of this whole venture of faith for people to enjoy. There is something about moving forward when we have a bit in hand of what that future looks like. It makes it a bit more real. it also stirs up faith and excitement for what is to come.
So as we head into this new season as a church, keep remembering that the same God who worked before is ready to do fresh things in your life and your church.
