God's warnings aren't designed to push us from Him, but to turn us to Him. Israel has been rebuked by God for their sinful lifestyle, all the while they are doing their religious duties & rituals. God has pleaded with them to repent before judgment falls, but they kept hardening their hearts and ignoring His Word. Now God says, "Here's the right way to seek Me in order to live."
